Hello Historic West Des Moines:
A reminder that the next Steering Committee Meeting will be taking place today — Wednesday, April 20th at 4:30 pm at the Human Services Building, 139 6th Street. The focus of this meeting will be on the Transitional District, which generally surrounds the Mixed-Use Commercial District centered on 5th Street. Presentation topics will include a recap of the Visual Preference Survey Findings (presented on January 5th), an overview of the Draft Guidelines (discussed on January 26th), the purpose and importance of the District, typical use considerations, and boundaries.
